Neville has been a solicitor since 1963 and was a partner in the firm of Murphy & Moloney from about 1970 until 30 June 2002 when that firm joined Hunt & Hunt. At that time Neville was the senior partner of Murphy & Moloney and has long years of experience in property and commercial work. He has a long-standing working relationship with Boral and its various divisions. He regularly advises and acts in relation to company and business acquisitions and sales, supply agreements and leasing arrangements throughout NSW. He was Challis lecturer in conveyancing at Sydney University Law School from 1969 to 1975 and is the co-author if a text book “Strata Titles” first published by the Law Book Company in 1978. He was a member of the Law Society Property and Conveyancing Committees from about 1972 until December 2002 and a member of the Law Society Liaison Committee with the Office of State Revenue from about 1983 to December 2002. He was also a member of the subcommittee which drafted the 2005 edition of the standard contract for the sale of land. Apart from his background in property law matters in which Neville regularly gives seminars and also from time to time expert evidence in legal proceedings he has had extensive experience in commercial matters. He has acted on a number of large takeovers of companies and acquisitions of businesses for a leading corporate group. He regularly gives specialist advice in relation to property matters to other solicitors. |
