For over twenty years John has specialised in insurance law, undertaking work for the Motor Accident Commission (SA) and other major insurance companies. He manages claims involving brain damage, spinal injuries and other catastrophic injuries. He established and continues to manage our specialist major claims unit in Adelaide, which comprises a dedicated team of partners, senior associates and lawyers. This unit ensures that all major claims are handled in a uniform fashion to the satisfaction of the MAC, and that maximum benefit is obtained from the knowledge and experience of the group as a whole. He has an ongoing role in reviewing the MAC’s procedures in relation to personal injury claims and advising on the effect of legislative amendments. He has also instructed in High Court and Full Court cases of national importance to the CTP industry. John is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, Law Council of Australia and the Law Society of South Australia. |
