Belinda has 5 years experience in employment litigation and workplace advisory law. Belinda specialises in the areas of industrial relations, dismissal and discipline of employees, anti-discrimination, equal opportunity, workers' compensation and commercial litigation. Belinda's practice includes representing clients before the Industrial Commission, Anti-Discrimination Tribunal and Commission, as well as advocating on behalf of employers and employees in applications for workers' compensation, both at the review and appeal level. Belinda has a particular interest in advocacy, and draws on her commercial litigation experience to assist clients in the Supreme, District and Magistrates' Court proceedings. She has lectured in Equal Employment Opportunity at Griffith University, and tutored in Medical Law at the University of Queensland. Belinda regularly advises Human Resources Managers on employment related matters, and is a Certified Professional in the Australian Human Resources Institute. In 2006, Belinda was elected as a State Counciller for Queensland's AHRI Council. |
