Prior to becoming a lawyer, Catherine worked for Coca-Cola Amatil Limited, as a management and financial accountant, both in Australia and overseas. She also worked for Esso Australia Limited their downstream accounting operation. Catherine practices in commercial litigation. She has particular expertise in insolvency, debt recovery, Trade Practices Act disputes, and general commercial disputes. Her expertise includes representing clients in wind-up and bankruptcy applications in the Federal Court, Federal Magistrates Court and Supreme Court of NSW, including the conduct of public examinations and the issuance of warrants for arrest of persons in breach of court orders. Catherine’s Insurance litigation experience includes representation in common law and statutory workers’ compensation matters. Her recent experience includes Federal Court of Australia proceedings claiming damages and declarative relief for misleading and deceptive conduct (pursuant to Trade Practices Act 1974), breach of fiduciary duties and breach of contract (13 day hearing).
