Experience: |
Tracey is an Accredited Specialist in personal injury law. She has worked predominately in insurance litigation. She has a broad range of legal experience and is well positioned to provide strategic advice on complex issues. Her diverse experience includes product and public liability, professional indemnity, general insurance and CTP claims. Tracey has a particular interest in medical and dental negligence law, professional misconduct proceedings and the law relating to the conduct of a health care providers' professional practice. She has achieved excellent results defending doctors and dentists in negligence claims in all forums. She has also represented health care professionals at Coronial Inquiries and Appeals before professional boards and/or tribunals including the AAT. A recent career highlight was case of Wilson v Tier [2008] NSWSC 92 where she successfully defended an oral and maxillo-surgeon against allegations of negligence. This case was one of the first to utilize the new concurrent expert evidence provisions. Tracey is an Associate of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney. She lectures to both dental undergraduate and post-graduate students. She is also a member of the Professional Conduct Committee of the Law Society of NSW. |
