- Hunt & Hunt had a win in the Court of Appeal in NSW, Sydney Water Corporation v Caruso and Ors [2009] NSWCA 391. Our firm won 5 cases of compensation for compulsory acquisitions at Kellyville in northwest Sydney against Sydney Water. Our clients were awarded significant costs in the Land and Environment Court of NSW and the NSW Court of Appeal.
Acted for an international fast-food retailer on leasing of commercial premises in various states. - Acted for the Gladstone Port Authority in relation to various issues involving easements and pipelines. We have also acted for the Newcastle Port Corporation.
- Acted in a development of Crown Land in Victoria for a new police station complex, including a draft indigenous land use agreement.
- Advised in the valuation of and negotiated the $40M purchase of land and water rights in Queensland for Carrington Cotton Ltd.
- Acted for Landmark White Ltd on various issues in relation to its valuation business.
- Acted for Macquarie Bank in a due diligence for a large commercial property in the Newcastle CBD and on a development in Sydney in which it appointed a receiver, including the taking over of off the plan contracts, resolving disputes and taking to settlement.
- Advised St Vincent de Paul Society on leases in NSW and the sale of its NSW aged care facilities to Catholic Healthcare Limited.
- Advised the Public Trustee on property matters in South Australia.
- Acted for the Carrington Group in NSW on residential developments, off the plan sales, construction contracts, staged developments, strata and stratum subdivisions and community title subdivisions.
- Acting for the NSW Department of Education & Training on leases and licences for a range of property issues, including land to be used for child care centres and canteens.
