The Recruitment Process

Our people are our business, so when recruiting we are committed to finding those people who are keen to grow and develop their careers in an environment that encourages superior service to our clients.

The aim of our recruitment process is to ensure that applicants are selected purely on the basis of their skills, qualifications, abilities, aptitude and performance.  Finding and applying for available positions with Hunt & Hunt is a simple process:
  1. Search available positions by ‘location’ on the Job Search Page.
  2. If there is a position which you feel matches your skills and experience, select the ‘Apply Now’ button at the bottom of the advertisement.
(Where there are no suitable positions listed, you may send us your details to keep on file through the Submit Resume Page, or alternatively register on the Job Alert Page to have vacant positions emailed directly to your email address).
  3. Complete all sections of the application form.
  4. Use the browse function to attach a copy of your current resume and an application letter.
  5. HR will review all applications received and will shortlist suitable applications.
  6. If short listed, you will be contacted by phone or email for an interview.
  7. Initial interviews are conducted by Human Resources or the Office Manager, and Partners and Managers are involved in second round interviews.
  8. Reference checks are conducted prior to making an offer of employment.
  9. New employees undergo a comprehensive induction program.

Recruitment Tips

The quality of your application is critical in ensuring we understand how your skills and experience are relevant.  Missing the basics may impact the effectiveness of your application.

In your application we encourage you to:
  • Submit your application to specific jobs rather than make a general submission.
  • Show attention to detail and check for spelling mistakes.
  • Demonstrate a good command of the English language.

If invited to participate in an interview, we encourage you to:

  • Be well groomed
  • Be punctual - if you cannot make the agreed interview time, please advise with as much notice as possible.
  • Prepare - research the partner and their practice area.
  • Bring a copy of your qualifications eg official transcripts and practising certificate (for legal professionals).
