Our firm’s Insolvency and Debt Recovery group provides services to bankers and financiers, insolvency accountants and creditors who require assistance in dealing with insolvency administrations.
We have considerable experience in managing high volume debt recovery clients, both private and public.
Our approach to debt recovery work is to strike the proper balance between pursuing debtors with vigour and encouraging compromise where commercially appropriate. Importantly, because we are often perceived as an extension of our clients, we take great care to uphold their values and to safeguard their reputation when recovering monies from their customers.
This philosophy is based upon our extensive experience in acting for a wide range of organisations in the public and private sector, including General Motors Acceptance Corporation, Australia.
In 2005, we were the only private law firm to be appointed by the Australian Taxation Office to provide debt recovery services nationally.
Our policy is to provide advice in plain English, recognising that legal jargon is not helpful, prohibits effective communication, and is wasteful. Our aim is to address the complex legal issues which confront our clients with easily understood and cost effective commercial advice. We expect our lawyers to be acquainted with our clients’ needs, and to provide clear and concise explanations of legal principles and tactics.
We have technology, resources, professional experience and expertise to efficiently and cost effectively manage high volume, debt recovery work anywhere in Australia.
