Hasti has over fifteen years' experience in environment, planning, local
government and administrative law.
Hasti works with government, corporate and private clients and is well regarded as an expert in advising in relation to environmental assessment, administrative law and environmental compliance and, transactional and property development matters.
Hasti also provides advice on valuation and compulsory acquisition of land and rights. She regularly appears at the Land and Environment Court on planning appeals.
Hasti's work includes drafting complex agreements, providing advice on developer deeds, planning agreements and transport infrastructure agreements.
Hasti's experience in compliance law extends to providing advice, management and assistance in relation to environmental incidents at work sites. This work includes Department of Environment and Climate Change investigations and prosecutions under the pollution legislation, Heritage law and the National Parks legislation.
Prior to joining Hunt & Hunt, Hasti worked for five years as an in-house lawyer with the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW (now Roads and Maritime Services). Whilst there, Hasti was involved in a number of major projects including the Cross City Tunnel, Westlink M7, Lane Cove Tunnel and the Pacific Highway and Hume Highway Upgrades.
Hasti is an accomplished speaker, educating clients through often onerous and complex law topics. Hasti regularly lectures on expert witness practice directions at the Australian Property Institute.
