Neville Debney

With wide-ranging, proven skills, Neville offers his clients a depth of experience unmatched by few others in the legal profession. For over 25 years, clients have enjoyed Neville’s pragmatic advice on various issues relating to his key areas of practice, such as trade practices, contractual disputes, insolvency, security creation and enforcement, debt recovery, workouts and estate and trusts litigation.


Renowned as a litigation expert, Neville has successfully represented clients in the Supreme Courts of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and South Australia, and in the Federal Court. He has also worked under the International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Rules and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, particularly on disputes arising from complex multi-tier contractual arrangements.

With a special interest in banking and finance, Neville acts for financial institutions in enforcing all types of securities, insolvency administrations, cheque conversion claims, priority disputes and preference claims.
