- Merger and acquisitions including due diligence, contract preparations and negotiations and all post completion attendances.
- Advising public and private health sector clients on a range of issues, from day-to-day operations, hospital set-ups, procurement management, acquisitions of goods and services, and outsourcing and disposal of surplus assets.
- Delivering practical advice to companies covering set-up and structuring issues, shareholder arrangements, corporate governance, contracts and compliance.
- Assisting clients to understand their obligations under the Australian Financial Services Licensing Regime and to obtain Australian Financial Services Licences.
- Supporting Australian companies doing business overseas (especially in China) and foreign companies investing in Australia including set-up, exporting, and sourcing goods and materials.
- Franchising expertise, advising on all aspects of the relationship, from drafting and reviewing contracts, system set-up, compliance issues and regulatory requirements, to operations and management issues regarding agreement termination and dispute resolution.
- Tender preparation and submission, guiding clients through the process, preparing documentation, assessing tenders and negotiating final contracts.
- Advising businesses on privacy issues including drafting privacy statements, conducting audits, investigating compliance and responding to complaints made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
John is also a director of Bridge Housing Limited a leading community housing provider in Sydney.
