Experience

Louise has 11 years litigation experience and is an accredited mediator. She practices in the areas of workers compensation, public liability, occupiers/public liability, motor vehicle accidents, Corporations Act and contractual disputes, professional indemnity, product liability and medical negligence. Her product liability and medical negligence experience includes class actions.

Workers compensation matters in which Louise has acted includes slip and falls, manual handling - factory and mining accidents, construction accidents, and accidents occurring in unique workplaces including the fields of oyster and chicken farming, horse racing, sports centres and childcare centres.

Louise is a regular contributor of articles to Lexis Nexis Butterworths Local Government Reporter. She also gives presentations on topics such as Tasmanian Civil Liability legislation; Freedom of Information; Privacy and Tasmanian Supreme Court procedure. Louise also gives presentations on recent case law development.
