Experience

Neville has been practicing law since 1982 in the areas of commercial litigation, dispute management and resolution, trade practices, contractual disputes, information technology, tender law, insolvency, security creation and enforcement, debt recovery, workouts and estate and trusts litigation.

Neville has advised and acted in litigation arising from a number of major projects including:

  • the ANZAC Ship Project;
  • The Advanced Australian Air Traffic System (TAAATS) Project;
  • the Melbourne City Link Project;
  • the Murrin Murrin Nickel Cobalt Project; and
  • the Minerva Field Flowlines & Gas Plant Project.

He has extensive experience acting for financial institutions in:

  • enforcement of all types of securities;
  • insolvency administrations;
  • cheque conversion claims;
  • priority disputes;
  • trust disputes; and
  • preference claims.

He has conducted litigation in the Supreme Courts of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and South Australia, in the Federal Court, and under the International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Rules and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, with an emphasis on disputes arising from complex multi-tier contractual arrangements.

Neville also provides dispute management advice, especially in relation to major projects; and documentation for complex workouts and settlements.

His clients include Angas Securities, Provident Capital, Firstmac, BOQ, Thales, Assa Abloy, Equity Trustees, Symbion Pharmacy and GHD.
