Experience

Peggy's experience and practice lies in workers compensation, personal injuries and general litigation. She has responsibility for the management of workers compensation cases for major insurance clients, including the TIO, Northern Territory Government, QBE Insurance, Nominal Insurer and CGU Insurance.

Peggy has dealt extensively with TIO, NT Government Agencies, DCIS, other insurers and employers as part of her workers compensation / work health practice. She has advised both Government and institutional clients in relation to all aspects of the Work Health Act (NT). This includes the Act's impact on the insurer's and employer's management of employment issues, human resources matters and rehabilitation options in workers compensation claims.

Peggy is also involved in providing general commercial advice in relation to disputes and recoveries under the Construction Contract (Security for Payments) Act in the NT. She has advised in relation to contracts of sale and leases in the NT. She also acts on behalf of local businesses and companies in relation to commercial disputes, recovery proceedings and related litigation arising from same.
