Lindy has over 20 years’ experience in litigation primarily in the areas of Family Law and Domestic Violence. She assists her clients through a legal process which can be particularly traumatic for those who are separating or otherwise vulnerable.
Lindy acknowledges a “one size” approach does not fit all. Her focus is to provide a cost-effective solution to meet a client’s individual needs.
Her aim is to inform her clients of their options - from mediation to Court through straightforward advice. She offers a personal, confidential, honest and practical approach to meet their legal requirements.
In the area of Family Law, Lindy has acted for mothers, fathers, grandparents and children (as the Independent Children’s Lawyer.) Lindy’s experience in this jurisdiction extends to parenting matters, property disputes, divorce, child support, spousal maintenance and related areas including de facto relationship matters.
Lindy joined Hunt & Hunt in 2013 but has worked in the Northern Territory since 2006. Prior to moving to the NT Lindy worked in private practice in Victoria and for Legal Aid in Queensland.
She has appeared in numerous Courts as Counsel – in matters including final hearings in the Family Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit Court and in Local (Magistrates) Courts both in the NT and interstate.
