Experience

Catherine is a senior associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Sydney. She has experience in a wide range of commercial dispute resolution matters including commercial agreements, Corporations Act 2001 provisions, breaches of fiduciary duties, Trade Practices Act 1974 now Competition and Consumer Act 2010 disputes, equitable claims, commercial and building disputes.

She also has experience in insolvency matters representing clients in winding-up and bankruptcy applications, conduct of public examinations of "persons of interest" and has successfully applied for the issuance of warrants for arrest of persons in breach of court orders. She has advised corporations, liquidators, administrators and trustees in bankruptcy including advice on preference, uncommercial transactions claims and the recovery of assets.

She provides advice and advocates strategies to obtain the best commercial resolution of disputes. She has experience in state and federal courts and tribunals.

Catherine is a Notary Public, Chartered Secretary and a member of CPA Australia. She is a currently an active member of the CPA Accounting Standards Discussion Group. Catherine has combined degrees in business (economics and finance) and law. She also has a Masters of Law with a Corporate and Commercial Law Specialisation.
