Experience

Maria commenced working with Hunt & Hunt as a Senior Associate in February 2007.

Maria has over 9 years experience practising in the area of Property law. She has extensive experience in Property and Development transactions including residential and industrial, rural properties, options, mortgages and Joint Venture Finance arrangements, easements, property disputes, strata title disputes, real estate subdivisions, retail, commercial and industrial leasing.

She has extensive experience in leasing ranging from individual tenants seeking advice on terms of leases to advising landlords on leasing issues including telecommunciation leases.

She has acted for developers in consolidating sites and preparing the leasing or disposal of the properties on the site and working closely with developers from the concept stage to the end stage of selling the properties.

Maria has played key roles in:

• Acting for a private bus company in the acquisitions and disposals of land including the leasing of bus depot and other uses.
• Acting on the $80 million dollar acquisition of a private bus company business involving 14 bus depots.
• Multi million dollar acquisitions and disposals of industrial and commercial property.
• Legal due diligence on the acquisition of sites in NSW for a child care company.
• Acting for a developer in consolidation of a site, construction and subsequent sales of 15 residential units.
• Acting for a developer in the acquisition and consolidation of a site, including advising on the construction contract for 20 industrial units and the disposal or leasing of the units.
• A large staged development in Western Sydney involving the disposal of 1000 blocks of land.
• Acting for a landlord in drafting leases for 12 storey CBD commercial office and advising on all leasing issues.

Maria has also advised on sales and purchases of business and franchise agreements.

Maria speaks fluent Greek.

Admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 1998
