Hunt & Hunt continues growth in Victorian operations

Hunt & Hunt continues to diversify and grow its leadership team with the promotion of two of its Melbourne based Senior Associates to Principal, effective 1 July.

Jing Wang (Litigation, Head of China Practice) and Linda Hart (Wills & Estate Planning) will join the partnership, bringing their fresh, innovative ideas and perspective to the firm as it continues an extended period of growth.

“The elevation of Linda and Jing to Principal is about recognising the exceptional talent of these two senior lawyers and enhancing their opportunities to drive the future direction of the firm,” said Melbourne Managing Principal Tony Raunic.

Since joining Hunt & Hunt in 2017 as Head of China Practice Jing has been a key force in maintaining and growing Hunt & Hunt’s status as the pre-eminent Australian law firm within the Chinese Australian business community.

“Jing’s intimate knowledge of both the Chinese and Australian legal markets has been of critical value to our many clients who have invested and conducted business in both Australia and China.”, said Tony.

Linda commenced with the firm in 2021 and has taken on a managing role in Hunt & Hunt’s Melbourne Wills and Estates Team. She is an Accredited Specialist in Wills & Estates with the Law Institute of Victoria, and is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

“Linda has helped modernise and diversify the way we deliver our will and estates services to clients,” said Tony.

“She is also passionate about mentoring and developing our junior lawyers and has played an instrumental role in founding our Women at Hunt & Hunt Forum.”

These promotions of two more leading lawyers to partnership continue Hunt & Hunt’s trajectory of rapid growth in its Melbourne operations.

“We’ve seen exponential growth in our business operations in Melbourne over the past three to four years, and the elevation of these two talented senior associates also reflect the growth in the diversity of our firm and client base.” said Tony.

The elevation of Jing and Linda headline a list of promotions for Hunt & Hunt Victoria. Mark Pennini (Litigation and Insolvency) and Marcus Fogarty (Litigation and Insolvency) become Senior Associates, and Helen Hodgins (Litigation and Insolvency) and Emily Clapp (Property Disputes & Compulsory Acquisition) become Associates.

“Mark, Marcus, Helen and Emily have shown more than just outstanding legal acumen, all four of these lawyers have shown through their work how well they encompass Hunt & Hunt’s key values and our philosophy of Genuine People and Practical Solutions.”

“These promotions to start FY 22/23 are by no means the completion of our firm rejuvenation. Watch this space as we seek to add more outstanding leaders to our firm, with the next focus being on our Property and Corporate & Commercial Teams. Our clients know that we are constantly adding youthful and diverse talent to our offering and our staff know we are prepared to promote outstanding talent early.” said Tony.
