Hunt & Hunt Lawyers becomes a Corporate Partner of the McGrath Foundation from July 1, 2022

Hunt & Hunt is proud to announce that it became a corporate partner of the McGrath Foundation from 1 July 2022.

The McGrath Foundation funds McGrath Breast Care Nurses who undertake the extraordinarily important task of supporting people diagnosed with breast cancer and their families from diagnosis, through treatment, rehabilitation and follow-up. The specialist team of nurses work hard throughout Australia to provide, without charge, physical, psychological and emotional support.

In May this year, members of our team had the privilege of attending the McGrath Foundation International Nurses Day, which celebrated the 185 McGrath Breast Care Nurses caring for families impacted by breast cancer across Australia and saw the McGrath Foundation announce its commitment to fund another 250 nurses by 2025. Our team met with other supporters of the foundation and heard the truly inspiring story of Emily Quinlan, who was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer at age 25 but had the incredible support of her ‘angel’ care nurse who helped her through the entire process.

By becoming a corporate partner in support of such an important cause, Hunt & Hunt will contribute to making a difference to Australian families experiencing breast cancer.

McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan said “We are excited to welcome Hunt & Hunt lawyers as our newest corporate partner. Our corporate partners play a huge role in helping us meet our goal of 250 McGrath Breast Care Nurses by 2025. This will get us one step closer to ensuring that no one in Australia goes through breast cancer without the care of a breast care nurse.”

NSW Managing Partner at Hunt & Hunt Lawyers, Brett Hearnden said “The partners and staff of Hunt & Hunt are committed to exercising social responsibility in all aspects of our work. We act to contribute to the community through a number of channels. Becoming a Corporate Partner to the McGrath Foundation is an important step for us. Most Australians have some personal link to a diagnosis of cancer and the effects of its treatment on someone special. We have chosen the McGrath Foundation as part of our social responsibility commitment because its highly trained team of nurses helps support those living with cancer, and those they love.”
