Luke Mackay is a commercial litigator with a broad range of experience acting for private and corporate clients in many commercial law areas. He has particular experience in financial services disputes, debt recovery proceedings, employment disputes, workplace health and safety proceedings, construction disputes and intellectual property disputes.
He also focuses on unfair dismissal and general protections representation, discrimination advice and representation, contractual claims, National Credit Code advice and regulator disputes.
Luke prioritises his client’s objectives and works alongside them to achieve their best commercial outcome at every step.
Recent experience includes:
- Money3 Loans – in relation to proceedings brought by ASIC alleging breaches of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act
- Go Car Finance – in relation to proceedings brought by the New Zealand Commerce Commission alleging breaches of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act
