Personal Experience
Peter joined Hunt & Hunt in 2021 as a law graduate from the University of Melbourne and has quickly progressed to become an integral member of the Property Team.
Peter has been involved in a wide range of property work across various sectors, working with both private and public sector clients.
His experience includes working on a range of domestic, commercial and industrial property transactions, and commercial and retail leasing and licencing. Peter has also acted for a number of banks and private lenders in relation to loan and mortgage transactions.
Peter also regularly advises the Self-Storage Association of Australasia and its members throughout Australia, through its Legal Help Desk.
Property
- Acting for Homes Victoria (formerly called Director of Housing) in relation a large number of property acquisitions and disposals in Victoria, including preparing and negotiating the contracts of sales and handling settlements.
- Advising a significant residential developer in relation to off the plan sales of a large residential apartment in Sydney.
Acted for a Chinese investment group in relation to the sale of a hotel and pub, including settlement and advice on leasing issues.
- Assisted in relation to a number of property acquisitions and disposals in Victoria for Country Fire Authority.
Acted for Melbourne City Council in relation to registration of section 173 agreements on title.
Leasing
- Prepared lease documents for a range of lease transactions for Yarra City Council’s portfolio.
- Assisted the Glen Cameron Group in relation to various real estate issues involved in the sale of its transport and logistics business including advising on assignment of leases for their logistics and warehousing facilities across Australia.
- Advising a landlord in relation to a renewal of lease and other related matters for a major supermarket tenant in the shopping centre.
Banking & Finance
- Advising a number of banks in relation to transfer of mortgages in multiple States ,and preparation of priority deeds and consents to leases.
- Advising another bank in relation to entering into co-share loan transactions with other lenders.
- Preparing finance and security documents for development projects, representing private lenders and borrowers.
