Ritika joined Hunt & Hunt in 2022 from a leading full-service Indian law firm, where she worked with clients from the United States, Japan and Germany. She has since become an integral member of the Corporate & Commercial Team.
Ritika has been involved in all stages of transactional and advisory work across various sectors, and she provides practical advice suited to clients’ commercial and business needs.
Her experience includes advising on and preparing corporate and commercial contracts and T&Cs for clients across different industries. Ritika has also been involved in share buy-backs and equipment sales.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Assisting with the sale of business by insurance broker ATIA Insurance Services Limited to Honan Insurance Group.
- Being involved in the share sale by Yeowart Investments Pty Ltd of its 50% shareholding in Strata Equity Management, a strata management business.
- Assisting with a sale of equipment in the Australian auto repair industry.
- Being part of the team acting for Zydus Wellness, a consumer goods company, in its acquisition of Heinz India’s consumer wellness business.
- Assisting with investment in India by Fujitsu General, the Japanese air-conditioner and information communication equipment manufacturer.
Corporate, Commercial and Advisory
- Assisting with re-writing Self Storage Association of Australasia’s agreement suite from a plain English and Unfair Contract Terms perspective.
- Drafting a shareholder’s agreement for a newly incorporated company providing business processing services.
- Undertaking a share buy back on behalf of a company in the Australian furnishings industry.
- Assisting the below parties with agreement revisions:
- Galderma Australia with revising a talent agreement with a well-known Olympic sportswoman, and also other content distribution agreements.
- Cameron Interstate Pty Ltd (owned by DHL Group) with revising the terms of its services agreement with a key customer.
- ALTER (a division of Cabrini Health Limited) with revisions to its B2C agreement for providing assistance equipment to customers.
- Ballarat City Council with respect to its towing arrangements agreement.
- Assisting FMP Group (Australia) in revising its terms & conditions of purchase.
- Acting for Kubota Australia in suggesting revisions to terms & conditions under a key distribution agreement.
- Advising City of Melbourne in relation to alternative means of control over a subsidiary.
- Providing advice to Aboriginal Housing Victoria regarding director terms and related governance matters.
- Advising TVS Motor Company, an Indian multinational motorcycle manufacturer, on the requirement of one of its subsidiaries to register as a non-banking financial company with the central bank.
Ritika’s experience overseas ensures that she brings new perspectives to transactions and interacts effectively across various cultures. In addition to English, she can understand and fluently speak Hindi, Kannada and Marathi.
