Matt is a valued
member of our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group acting for both
Commonwealth and State Government clients in addition to private clients.
He is committed to providing economical, timely and pragmatic legal advice that
takes into account the specific needs of each client.
Matt appears as an advocate in debt recovery matters for the
firm's public and private clients, as well as in regulatory prosecutions for
government agencies. These public clients include the Commonwealth
Department of Human Services, NSW Food Authority, the NSW Office of Liquor
Gaming & Racing and NSW State Debt Recovery.
Matt acts in matters arising from allegations of sexual
abuse and misconduct both in personal injury claims and matters within the
criminal jurisdiction. Matt's experience in this area means each matter
is managed in a sensitive and timely manner.
Matt also provides advice to the Australian Taxation
Office on unfair preference claims and has made a significant contribution to
our probono practice, particularly in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal
where he has acted on behalf of Mission Australia Housing.
Matt is admitted to practice in the NSW Supreme Court and
High Court of Australia.
