Brett leads a team of experienced and highly regarded advocates who represent government clients’ prosecutions for regulatory offences in Local and District Courts.
Brett also leads the team in defending administrative decisions when reviews have been sought. Brett is often retained to act in high profile, novel or strategically significant policy cases.
As one of Australia’s leading authorities on compliance with road transport regulations, Brett is an advisor to key stakeholders in respect of the impact, prosecution and effectiveness of new enforcement technology.

Brett also represents private clients who are charged with regulatory and criminal offences and those seeking to appeal decisions of government agencies, challenge disciplinary hearings or have been called before coronial inquests, ICAC or the NSW Ombudsman.
Brett regularly advises clients on appeals to the Courts of Appeal and Criminal Appeal, the District Court or NCAT.
